Lyle M. Lidikay, age 76, of Crawfordsville Indiana, died at
home on Tuesday afternoon after a long battle with cancer.
Mr. Lidikay worked at H-C Industries (Crown, Cork and
Seal) for 37 years. He retired in 1997.
He was a 1950 Darlington High School graduate and a
1954 graduate of Purdue University
with a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering.
He was a member of the
ROTC program and served two years
in the United States Air Force. He was
a member of the Arnold Air Society
and Pi Tau Sigma Honorary Mechanical
Engineering Fraternity. Other
memberships were the First United
Methodist Church and Elk Lodge
#483.
His life long passions included boating,
aviation and automobiles.
He was born to Dr. Henry Adrin and
Elda Caldwell Lidikay on June 9, 1932.
He married Joyce Branstetter in the
Darlington Methodist Church on December 27, 1953.
Survivors include son Curtis (Susan Baney-Davidson) of
Hanover, Indiana, daughter Corinne (Todd) Walls and
grandsons, Alec Jarad and Cullen Warren Walls of Gurnee,
Illinois. Other survivors are sister Marilee McCallister of
Fulton, Missouri, nephew Brian McCallister and niece Lynn
McCallister.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM on Saturday,
August 30th, at Hunt and Son Funeral Home with Dr.
George Plasterer officiating. Burial will be at the Greenlawn
Cemetery in Darlington, Indiana following the service.
Visitation will be on Friday, August 29th, at Hunt and Son
Funeral Home, 107 N. Grant Avenue, Crawfordsville, Indiana
from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
