Obituary

Lyle G. McClain 75 of Crawfordsville, passed away 11:45pm Sunday at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born in Russellville April 20, 1932. His parents were Morris & Devota Potter Berry. He was a 1950 graduate of Crawfordsville High School.

In 2003 he retired from Raybestos after 50 years. In his retirement he did consulting with Boninfante Racing Clutches of Philadelphia, PA.

His memberships included Trinity United Methodist Church, American Society of Metals, Crescendos and Men Chorus, and Barbershoppers Chorus. He also served in the National Guard for nine years.

He married Mary Norman in 1952 at Trinity United Methodist Church, she survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Jenith L. (Ricky) Underwood, and Lisa L. Harlos of Crawfordsville; Sister Penny C. (Larry) Sterling of Crawfordsville; Half Sister Susan McGranahan of Saunton, IN; and Three grandchildren Autumn A. (Nathan) Crum, Max McClain Harlos, & Spencer L. Harlos. His Step mother Joyce Berry also survives.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Sharon Francis Dawson.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Friday at Trinity United Methodist Church, 110 S. Blair St., Crawfordsville, IN. with the Rev. Daryl Gilbert officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call from 4-8 Thursday at the funeral home.
