Marcia Knee

Marcia Lynn Knee, 79 of Crawfordsville, Passed away July 1st, 2026 at Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Sleeping peacefully, after a long fight with COPD

She was Born Nov. 8th, 1946 in Crawfordsville, to Clarence and Katherine (McCarthy) Stout. Marcia was a caretaker and homemaker, She had a few jobs over the years, but none more important to her than taking care of those around her. She was devoted to the service of others throughout her life.

On Sept. 24th 1966, She married Charles W. Knee Sr., He preceded her in death August 30, 1992.

Marcia is survived by her brother-in-law Frank Barr, her children Michael (Kimberly) Knee, and Cheryl (Ritchie Sr.) Jones, And Martoma (Chris) Wilson and bonus daughter Teresa Billingsly, all of Crawfordsville. Marcia had eight grandchildren: Asher (Brittany) Demoret, Tristin (Emily), Darien, Aidan (Brooklynn), and Grace Knee; Ritchie Jr., Daver Jones, and Dea (Jonathon) Hayden, Amy Shelton, Gregory, and Chelsea Roth. Marcia also had 18 great-grandchildren. And many nieces and nephews!

Marcia was an avid fisherwoman and outdoorswoman. She loved to craft and make things with wood. She loved a campfire, especially beside her beloved Sugar Creek. She enjoyed camping and fishing, she loved horseback riding, and even the occasional motorcycle ride with her son.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chuck, her son Charles Knee Jr, her sisters Sherry and Janet, her brothers Tom and Kevin, and her parents. She now rests in Glory with her family!

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, July 7th, from 12 noon until 2 pm, at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, with the Service at 2:00 PM, with Dave Hunter officiating. Interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery.
