Margaret Demoret Mennen, 92, passed away Aug. 4,
2013, at Bickford Place, Crawfordsville, where she had
lived for two years.
Born Oct. 22, 1920, to William and Opal
Sayler Demoret. She was a graduate of
New Richmond High School and graduated from Beauty School.
She married Hobert A. Mennen on Dec.
28, 1941. He preceded her in death on July
12, 2011.
She was a homemaker and loved to sew,
often making clothes for her daughters and
their dolls. She also enjoyed photography, square dancing
and riding motorcycles with her husband and their friends.
She was a member of Smartsburg Christian Church,
where she was active in church activities and went on several mission trips.
She is survived by two daughters, Trudy Mennen Freeman (husband Brooks) of Sedalia, Colo., and Carolyn Mennen Fritz (husband James) of Frankfort; her son, Hobert A.
Mennen Jr. (wife Jacqi) of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, Rosalie Mennen Carter, preceded her in
death in September 2005.

Friends may call 1-3 p.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Crawfordsville
