Marguerite L. Linn, 92, of
Crawfordsville, died Wednesday
at Hickory Creek Nursing
Home.
She had worked for West's
Supermarket and Crawford's
Grocery Store before retiring
in 1979. She was also active
at The Wesley Thrift Shop.
She was a member of First
United Methodist Church,
Rural Letter Carries of Montgomery
County, State Rural
Letter Carries and National
Rural Letter Carriers.
She attended New Ross
schools and graduated from
McGuffey High School in
Oxford, Ohio in 1935.
She was born June 24,
1917 in Shannondale to
Joseph and Goldie (Beebe)
Grimes. She married Rex E.
Linn on September 29, 1940.
He preceded her in death in
February 1994.
She is survived by a son,
Gary D. (Star) Linn of Crawfordsville,
daughters, Rita K.
Kuetemeyer of Cary, Ill. and
Pam (Greg) Strain of Social
Circle, Ga.; brother, Donald
(Mabel) Grimes of Crawfordsville,
sister, Kathleen
(Robert) Sowers of Bradenton,
Fla., and sister-in-law,
Madonna (Robert) Grimes of
Crawfordsville; five grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death
by her husband, three brothers
and three sisters.
Funeral services are set for
2 p.m. Saturday at Hunt &
Son Funeral Home, with Rev.
Gary Lewis officiating. Burial
will follow at Shannondale
Cemetery. Visitation will be
from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday
at Hunt & Son Funeral
Home.
