Maria Catuogno McLean (February 10, 1927 - December 15, 2012). She was born in New Haven, Connecticut to Luigi and Carmela (Verderamme) Catuogno. She graduated from the University of Connecticut and Columbia University School of Nursing, and worked as a registered nurse and professor of nursing. She married Edward McLean in 1960; they were married until he preceded her in death on September 12, 2011. She is survived by their son, Ian, her daughter-in-law Sharon McLean, and her grand-daughter, Hannah McLean. She is also survived by her sister, Sarah Lindgren and her children and grandchildren.
Maria worked as the Title IV-D program administrator for the Montgomery County Prosecutor's Office for many years. She was a member of Wabash Women, the Antique Study Club, the Flower Lovers' Club, P.E.O., the Current Events club, and The Athenian. She did volunteer work at the Crisis Shelter, Christian Nursing Service, and Volunteers for Mental Health in Montgomery County. She was an avid bridge player and belonged to several bridge clubs. Funeral services will be held at St. Bernard's Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. There will be a calling at the Church at 9:00 a.m. with Mass at 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard's Catholic Church, 1306 E. Main St., Crawfordsville, Indiana or Christian Nursing Service, 802 Mill Street, Crawfordsville, Indiana.
