Marie Katherine Galey, 84, Crawfordsville, passed away Wednesday afternoon, Dec. 13, 2023, at her residence.

She was born Sept. 17, 1939, at Rose Hill, Illinois, to George and Helen (Hays) Snedeker.

She was retired from Farm Bureau CO-OP where she worked in accounts receivable. She married Lyle Galey on May 6, 1961. He passed away in May 2005.

Survivors include: children, Laura (Steven) Welcher of Crawfordsville, along with grandchildren, Adam (Jessica) Welcher and their two children, Cora and Lucy, and Sarah Welcher; daughter Melanie (Steve) Galegor of Crawfordsville and their children, Jonah (Molly) Galegor, Emma (Jared) Bravard and Caleb Galegor; and sisters, Annie Koester, Judy Murphy and Susie Allred.

Private funeral services will be held for the family on Sunday afternoon. Burial will take place at Indian Creek Hill Cemetery.
