Martha M. Bausch, 87 of Crawfordsville passed away Monday, January 9 at home with her family by her side.

She was born June 26, 1935, in Crawfordsville to Archie & Ruby Shaw Price. Martha received her bachelor's degree from Indiana University and her Masters from Indiana State University in 1956. She worked as a teacher at Nicholson and Hose schools for 30 years.

Martha was a member of the First Christian Church where she sang in the choir for 20 years. She was also a member of the Wit & Wisdom Book Club and active in the Art League.

She was married to Douglas A. Deacon in January 1963, he preceded her in death on October 13, 1987; She married Elmer H. Bausch in May 1990, he preceded her in death in 2000.

Martha is survived by her children Mark Deacon of Southport and Daughter Susan (Edward Leach) Deacon Beasley of Phoenix, AZ. Also surviving are Grandchildren Justin M. Beasley of Phoenix, AZ, and Bailey R. (Austin) Warren of Noblesville. She has a great-grandchild Rowan Warren also of Noblesville. She was preceded in death by her brothers John P Price and Charles R. Price.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, January 21 at Oak Hill Mausoleum with Pastor Darla Goodrich officiating. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
