Martha Susan "Opal" Dossett, 101 passed away Monday at home. She was born December 29, 1916 in Lincoln, KY to Granville Lindsey and Sally Thompson Murrell.

During WWII She worked at Allison's as a gear shaper for fighter planes, after attending Huffer Beauty College she owned and operated Dossett's Beauty Shop from 1954-1974. Opal was a member of First Christian Church of Crawfordsville, Eastern Star, New Ross American Legion Auxiliary and the National Cosmetology Association.

She married Ashley Newell Dossett on October 15, 1940, he preceded her in death September 22, 2006. Opal is survived by her son Tony R. (Laurie) Dossett, grandsons AJ, Neal, & Aaron Dossett, Great Grandchildren Madison, Natalie, Ava, Aubrey and Lindsey Dossett as well as Nieces Dama Barbour and Penny Stout.

Graveside services will be held 11:00am Thursday at New Ross Cemetery with Pastor Peter Harper officiating.
