Martha Louise Myers, 86, of Crawfordsville, died Friday morning.
Born Sept. 17, 1922, in Roachdale, she was
the daughter of Jesse Lee Taylor and Zennie
(Newell) Taylor.
She married Herschell (Chuck) Myers Aug.
30, 1942, in Lawton, Okla. He died Sept. 30,
1980.
Myers was employed at Weir Friendly Beauty
Shop for several years before starting a shop
of her own. She worked seven and a half years
at the rest park in Lizton.
She was a member of Roachdale Christian Church before moving
to Crawfordsville in 1937. She graduated from Crawfordsville
High School in 1940 and cosmetology school in 1941.
Other memberships included Christ's United Methodist Church,
Order of Eastern Star 97, Friends of the Library, and The Historical
Society.
Survivors include a daughter, Sandra K. Branstetter of Crawfordsville;
a son William H.Myers of Crawfordsville; two grandsons;
two granddaughters; one nephew; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services are scheduled 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Christ's
United Methodist Church with the Rev. Chris Renick officiating. Burial
will be at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
