Mary Ellen Cooper, 93, Indianapolis, passed Sunday at Clearwater Commons in Indianapolis. She had previously resided in Hillsboro and Crawfordsville.
She was born July 19, 1920 in Indianapolis to James G. & Grace (Williams) Tinsley. She married Marion B. Cooper and he preceded her in death in 2000.
Her memberships included the Daughters of the American Revolution, First Christian Church in Crawfordsville and Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis.
Survivors include her children; James M. (Elizabeth) Cooper of Indianapolis, Robert Stephen (Melissa) Cooper of Grand Rapids, MI and Cynthia (Carl) Snipes of Carmel. She is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday at First Christian Church of Crawfordsville with Rev. Kathryn Snipes Lancaster and Benjamin Snipes officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Daughters of the American Revolution, First Christian Church or Second Presbyterian Church with envelopes available.
