Mary Elinor Fenton Griffith of Napoleon, Ohio, formerly of
Crawfordsville and Mt. Vernon, Ill., died Friday in Napoleon.
She was 81.
She was born in Mt. Vernon, Ill., to Edwin Carl Fenton and
Thelma Lucille Hungate Fenton. She married Russell
Andrew Griffith; he passed away on Aug. 30, 1992.
She was a graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and
attended the University of Illinois. She was a member of St.
Bernard's Catholic Church.
She was an L.P.N.
She is survived by nine children, Eddie (Sandy) Griffith,
Stacey (Jeff) Vail, Mady (Dave) Henry, Patty (Frank) Kirts,
Jerry (Mary Helen) Griffith, Kim (Kevin) Griffith, Beverly
(Kris) Kellison, Tim (Jill) Griffith, and Angie Nofziger; two sisters,
Pat Young and Janet Sue Parrish; 20 grandchildren;
and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and five
children, Rusty Jr., Carol Griffith, Jennifer Bayless, Charlie
Griffith, and Tom Griffith.
The service will be 10:30 Tuesday at St. Bernard's
Catholic Church. Father David Hellman will officiate. Burial
will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m.
Monday at St. Bernard's.
