Obituary
Mary E. Surber passed away on February 10th in Lebanon, IN at the age of 94.
She was born on May 27, 1920 in Quanah, TX to Elmer and Anna (Black) Wood, both deceased. On August 16, 1939, she married Robert L. Surber, who passed on July 28, 1988.
Surviving are a son, Robert L Surber, Jr. of Crawfordsville, daughters, Ann Graham of Lebanon and Teresa Jungels of Warsaw, IN and a son-in-law, Patrick Cunningham of Lafayette, IN. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. A daughter, Margaret Cunningham, and a son-in-law, Fred Zimmerman as well as four sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
She was a lifelong member of EUB Church in Crawfordsville. She lived in Crawfordsville and Bellview, FL until moving into The Friendship House in West Lafayette for 20 years, then to Homewood Healthcare in Lebanon in Sept. 2012.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday at Hunt and Son Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Calling will be two hours prior to the service in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to The American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or Montgomery County Animal Welfare League.
