Marylea Grimes of Crawfordsville died at 4:55 p.m. Thursday
at Williamsburg Healthcare. She was 86.
Mrs.Grimes retired from RR Donnelley after 43 years, and
worked at Walmart for 20 years.
She was a member of New Hope Christian Church,
Women of the Heart at New Hope and former member of Mt.
Zion Methodist Church. She was educated at Kingman.
She was born Oct. 28, 1925, at Kingman, to Clarence and
Minnie Peyton Dark. She married William R. Grimes in 1952.
He died in 1989.
Survivors include: son John (Susan) Grimes, Lafayette; and
Jeane Dickerson, Crawfordsville, a niece whom she raised.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday at
Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 107 N. Grant Ave., Crawfordsville,
with the Rev. Mike Whitacre officiating. Burial will be at Oak
Hill Cemetery South. Friends may call noon until 2 p.m.
Tuesday at the funeral home.
