Max H. Downey passed away Monday, May 11, 2020 at home. He was 78 years old.

Max graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1960. He was a retired journeyman electrician and a proud member of the IBEW 481 for the last 55 years.

60 years ago, in December of 1959, he married Karen Deckard, she survives. He is also survived by his two sons, Chris (Jennifer) Downey, John (Thoma) Downey, his daughter Beth Downey, five wonderful grandsons: Jarett Downey, Clayton Downey, Gavin Downey, Wyatt Eldridge, Ben Eldridge and his beloved dog, Edee.

Because of the active COVID-19 virus and concern for the safety of friends and family, there will be no service. There will be a family celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask that you consider a memorial contribution to the Animal Welfare League of Crawfordsville.
