Melvin "Auggie" N. Lockard, 54 of Colfax passed away Friday, October 25, at home.

He was born August 4, 1965, in Lafayette to Robert & Shirley Ziemer Lockard. Auggie married Stephanie Newby in 2012, she survives. He is also survived by his children Mason Lockard, Sophia Lockard, Kurt Lockard, and Stepdaughter Shawn Somers. He has one grandson Mac Lockard. He was preceded in death by an infant son Zebediah, his parents, and a brother Reuben.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Friday, November 1 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor David Keesee officiating.
