Michael David Clahan, 53, New Ross, died Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Clahan was a group leader for Carrier-United Tech. and previously had worked at Mid-States Wire and Steel.

His memberships included United Steel Workers Local 1999. He graduated from Southmont High School in 1973 and attended Indiana State University.
He was born Dec. 27, 1954, at Crawfordsville, to Paul David and Frankie (Kelly) Clahan. He married Janet Hubbard. She survives.

Also surviving are father Paul David (Donna) Clahan; sons Jonathan, Indianapolis, and Brian (Brandi) Kissimmee, Fla.; step-daughter Toni Bullock, Siler City N.C., brothers Charles Patrick (Becky) and Terry Dee (Julie); sisters Kelly Jo (Lou) Raineri and Vicki (Darrell); and one grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with family friend Jacob Clampitt officiating. Burial will be at New Ross Cemetery. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home.
