Michael Thomas Doyle, 79, of
Crawfordsville died at 5:30 p.m.
Wednesday at home.
He had been a meteorologist
in Australia. He worked as a civil
engineer and had
done surveying
and mapwork here
in Indiana.
He served many
years in the Australian Army, serving
in the Korean war, after the war
he served in the Australian Special
Forces
He was a member of the Melbourne
Institute of Technology
He was born June 15, 1933, at
Melbourne, Australia, to Daniel
and Ethel Doyle. He married Sarah
"Sally" Dick on Sept. 19, 1969. She
survives.
Other survivors include: daughters,
Katherine Robbins and Christina
Dyken, both of Crawfordsvlle;
son Thomas Caldwell of Fayetteville,
N.C.; and nine grandchildren,
Jennifer (Nigel) Laws, Thomas
(Michelle) Caldwell Jr., Jason
Caldwell, Rebekka Bodine, Margaret
(Doug) DeHoff, Christina
(Mashiur) Khan, Andrew (Annette)
Bush, Arie Robbins and Ephendrielle
Robbins; and eight greatgrandchildren.
Cremation was chosen. A memorial
service will be held at a later
date.
