Mildred Marie Crowder, 95, of Crawfordsville, passed away at 11:35 a.m. Tuesday at St. Clare Medical Center.

Mrs. Crowder was born April 27, 1913 in Hillsboro. She is the daughter of Clarence A. & Margaret Gegner Moore.

She married Creighton C. Crowder June 23, 1939 in Hammond. He preceded her in death April 12, 1965. She is a member of Prairie Chapel Christian Church in Hillsboro; former member of Christ United Methodist of Crawfordsville; Member of the Montgomery County Historical Society and the Old Jail Museum.

She is survived by sister, Gertrude Rafferty; Sister in law, Elsie Moore; nephew, Ernest (Joanne) Moore of Danville, Ky.

She was preceded in death by her mother whom raised her, Sadie Campbell Moore; brother, Donald G. Moore; and niece, Lynn Bair Moore.

Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Pastor Darin Perkins will officiate. Burial is at Oak Hill Cemetery on Grant Avenue.

Friends and family can pay their respects from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday.
