Mildred Stephens Hood of
Crawfordsville died Sunday
morning at her home. She was
93.
She was born May 1, 1917
to Otis and
Elsie
Stephens in
Crawfordsville.
She married
Lawrence
Hood Feb.
25, 1939.
He died Oct.
25, 1972.
Mrs. Hood taught school,
was a private secretary, worked
at Purdue University, and retired
as state supervisor for Royal
Neighbor of America.
She was a 1935 graduate of
Crawfordsville High School and
a graduate of Indiana Business
College.
She was preceded in death
by sisters Marjorie Haskett,
Kathryn Smalley and Rebecca
Jefferies and brothers George
and Robert Stephens.
She is survived by a son,
Stanley (Pamela) Hood of
Crawfordsville; sisters,
Ruthanna Marts of Lebanon
and Dorothy Jean Shepherd of
Rockville, three grandchildren
and five great grandchildren

A graveside service will be
held at 11 a.m.Tuesday at Oak
Hill Cemetery North with the
Rev. Chuck Callahan officiating.
Friends may call at 10 a.m.
Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral
Home.
