Obituary

Morris J. Berry, 92, Crawfordsville, passed away 3:32 PM Monday at St. Clare Medical Center.

Mr. Berry owned and operated Berry Conrtruction, Inc. and was a member of First Baptist Church. He served in the United States Navy during World War II.

He was born on May 6, 1914 near Hollandsburg to John Paxton Berry and Cora Snow Berry. In 1943 he married Devota Potter. She passed away in 1971. In 1972 he married Joyce Reeves at Crawfordsville and she survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Penny Berry (Larry) Sterling of Crawfordsville, son, Lyle (Mary) McClain of Crawfordsville and a step daughter, Deborah Hall of Indianapolis, brother, Malcolm of Greencastle and sister, Helen Hayman, also of Greencastle.

In addition he is survived by 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a stepson, Kim Eskew, grandchildren Michael Francis and Abigail Sterling and a step grandson, Jarrod Eskew.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday at First Baptist Church with Revs. James Ranard & Mike Wren officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Grant Avenue. Calling wil be 4-8 PM Thursday in the funeral home.
