Morris R. (Bud) Davis, 87 passed away peacefully Monday at his home
Mr. Davis was born Sept 2, 1924 in Thompkinsville, KY the son of George E & Lola (Hall) Davis. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1943 and served in the US Army 1945-46 in Japan as a Technical Support Sergeant.
Morris was a well known farmer and real estate broker in Montgomery County. He served on the Elston Bank and Union Federal Bank Board of Directors and was a long time member of the Montgomery County Board of Realtors; he also contributed to many organizations and schools in Montgomery County.
He attended First Church of Nazerene and served on the Church board and as a Sunday School teacher.
He married Norma June Barton June 10, 1944, She survives.
Also surviving are daughter Cheryl (Ed) Hammond, Son Larry (Jan) Davis, daughter Brenda (George) Hassler and six grandchildren, Mindy Morehouse, Kristee Kruse, Andy & Chad Hassler, Tim Hood and Angie Snider as well as 13 Great Grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister Mildred McCoy of Auburndale, FL
Services will be held 10:30AM Thursday at First Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Uhl officiating. Friends may call from 3-7 Weds at the Church. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society
