Nancy Ann Roche Foust born July 7, 1935, went to join her heavenly father at 6:20pm, Thursday May 11, 2017 after losing her battle with Burkitt Lymphoma. She received her diagnosis just one month prior to her passing. She was the second of six born to Thomas and Marie Roche. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Thomas "Bunk" Roche, her brother Patrick "Pete" Roche and her husband Forest Francis "Bud" Foust with whom she was married to for 40 years. Bud and Nancy had two children, Michael Tyler (Alaathea) and Dawn Maria who gave her seven grandchildren; Andrew Michael, Cory Mitchell, Eleesha Lauren, Ryan Christopher, Vanessa Marie, Erin Elizabeth and Tyler Joseph. She also had 10 great grandchildren; Madison, Kale, Jahden, Jozie, Brandon, Eleza, Jacob Cole Jr, Zane, Jayce and Sedona Ann who were the loves of her life and brought her much joy.
Nancy was a telephone operator for Indiana Bell over 6 years. This is where she met her husband Bud. After raising her children, she began a 10-year career with the Family Crisis Shelter, the last year acting as Crisis Director. At the end of her career she left the Shelter to become a full-time grandma. Nancy loved life, her faith and her Irish heritage. She and her Aunt Roonie, who precedes her in death, researched their heritage and found our family in Tralee, Ireland where she and other family traveled to meet them. The Irish folks have also come to the US to visit.
Nancy was a Christian and devout catholic who belonged to St. Bernard's Catholic Church, where she attended regularly until her illness prevented her. Nancy survived an aneurysm repair surgery 6 years ago, and a major aortic bypass surgery in February 2016 in which she had less than a 10 percent chance of Survival. She beat those odds because she was a very strong woman with an unbelievable determination to continue living until the very end. A beautiful lady inside and out, a true blessing to have in the life of anyone who met her. She is survived by Rochelle (Roche) Hankinson, Katherine "Katy" Roche (Gary) Dockins and Jack Joseph Roche. Come one, come all to remember Nancy's life in a beautiful celebration.
Visitation will be Monday May 15 from 11-1 at St. Bernard's Catholic Church with services to follow at 1:00pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
