Norma J. Kirts, 88 of Crawfordsville passed away Friday January 18 at Lane House Nursing Home.  She was born August 8, 1930 in Smartsburg to Ray & Lucille Conard Henry.  Her father died July 31, 1931, after age 3 she was raised by her step father Omer Dale Elmore and her mother Lucille.

Norma was retired from Kroger's, she had previously worked at Murphy's Dime Store, and the A&P Grocery.  She was an active member of Freedom Baptist Church.

She married Robert Lee Kirts on September 9, 1951, he preceded her in death February 1999.

She is survived by her Children, Franklin (Patti) Kirts and Melissa Kirts of Crawfordsville; Grandchildren Corey Kirts, Courtney Crabtree, Jessica Osborn, and Shyan Gibson; and greatgrandchildren Zachary Kirts, and Kaycie Dowell. She also has a sister Shirley (Gene) Redden and sister in law Sue Elmore.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step father Omer Elmore, son Randy, stepson Ralph, Brothers Ed Elmore and Norris Henry as well as grandson Tyler Kirts and step grandson Jeremy Gibson.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Tuesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Wally Nichols officiating.  Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery South. Visitation will be from 12-2 on Tuesday.
