Obituary
Patricia Ann Harper Newkirk, 59, of Crawfordsville, passed away Sunday at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette.
She was born March 7, 1952 in Frankfort. She is the daughter of George W. & Ann Marie (Miner) Harper. She was raised by Charles Gallatin.
She graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 1970. She married David Newkirk on June 10, 1972. He survives.
She was a homemaker and had also worked for Coast to Coast and Walmart Optical.
She enjoyed camping, collecting thimbles, making candy, traveling and spending time with her grandkids. She cared for everyone but herself.
She is survived by a son, Joe (Jackie) Newkirk of Darlington; daughter, Melissa Newkirk (Travis Moore) of Crawfordsville; step-brother, Tom Gallatin of Crawfordsville; step-sister, Jane Stoneking of Danville; three grandchildren, Mitchell, Cody and Chase.
Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Brian Holt officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery North.
Friends and family can pay their respects from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be sent to American Diabetes Assoc, Special Olympics or American Cancer Society.
