Patricia Darlene Ingram passed away Monday morning at Ben Hur Nursing Home after a
lengthy illness.
She was born in Crawfordsville, In. to Maurice and Arlene (Carlson) Caplinger.
Mrs. Ingram graduated from Crawfordsville High School. She then married the love of
her life Gene Ingram on April 3, 1954. After their marriage Gene was stationed in Guam
with the U.S. Navy and Pat was the first woman of a non commission naval sailor able to
be based with her husband on Guam. While in Guam Mrs. Ingram worked as an
accountant in the Guam treasury department. The couple lived in Guam for 2 years.
Upon returning home Mrs. Ingram started working for J.C. Penney until her retirement in
1999. She obtained many awards for her work excellence from Penney. Before retiring
Mrs. Ingram was the head auditor for several stores.
Mrs. Ingram's joys and hobbies were fishing and following the Indiana Pacers from their
very start.
She is survived by her son Shannon (wife Deb) Ingram, grandsons Sasha and Nicholas
(wife Skye) Ingram all of Crawfordsville, In.
She will be missed by many close friends and family.
Cremation was chosen. Friends may call from 3-4pm Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home
