Paul David "Dave" "P.C." Clahan, 80, of New Ross, passed away Saturday at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Hospital-Crawfordsville.
He was retired from Detroit Diesel Allison and served in the National Guard Unit 1-139-HB for 16 years.
Memberships include Eagles, where he was a Golden Eagle, American Legion and sons of the American Legion.
He was a New Ross High School graduate and attended Purdue University.
Born April 29, 1931, at Advance, he was a son of Charles Edward and Marie (Matthews) Clahan. He married Donna Agen Hufford, who survives.
Additional survivors include sons Charles Patrick (Becky) at Russellville and Terry Dee (Julie) at Waveland; daughters, Vicki (Darrell) Baker of Crawfordsville and Kelly (Lou) Raineri at Lafayette; stepsons, Daniel Hufford of Evansville, Timothy Hufford of Montana and Mark Hufford of Greenfield; a daughter-in-law, Jan Clahan; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael David.
The funeral will take place at 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Hunt & son Funeral Home with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery North with burial rites by the VFW/American Legion. Visitation will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hunt & Sons Funeral Home.
