Paul Thomas "Tom" Prince of Crawfordsville died Saturday afternoon at his residence. He was 79.
Mr. Prince worked in sales throughout the Midwest for Mid-States Wire, IMPEX and in the printing business upon retirement.
He served in the Army 1954-1958. He was a member of Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, Elks 483, American Legion 72 and Moose Lodge. He was a 1950 graduate of Crawfordsville High School and a 1954 graduate of Wabash College.
He was born May 23, 1932, at Crawfordsville, to Hugo and Pauline (Kelsey) Prince. He married Suzanne Schloot in 1960. She died in 1999. He then married Kathleen Layne in 2003. She survives.
Other survivors include: daughters, Elizabeth (Brian) Pedro and Katherine (Nick) Vaught; stepdaughter Diane (Steve) Yeager; stepsons, John (Joyce) Earl and Fred (Carla) Earl; mother-in-law Kathryn Dain; three grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren; and six great-step-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday at Wabash Avenue Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Dr. John Van Nuys officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery South with burial rites by the American Legion and VFW. Friends may call 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the church. Hunt & Son Funeral Home is assisting the family.
