Obituary
Phillip W. Niece, 69, of Crawfordsville died Sunday morning, Jan. 3, 2016, at IU Health Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
Mr. Niece had been a pressman at RR Donnelly's. He served in the Army and was a member of American Legion for 46 years, Eagles and Moose. He was a 1964 graduate of Garfield High School, Terre Haute.
He was born Nov. 23, 1946, at Terre Haute, to Paul M. and Verna (Hoke) Niece.
Survivors include: sister Nancy (Jim) Houser of Terre Haute; nephews, Jimmy (Carrie) Houser and Aaron (Andrea) Houser; nieces, Beth (Mike) Okulovich and Cheryl Certain; and several great nieces and nephews and extended family.
Preceded in death by his parents; son Jeffrey Niece; and sister Sandra Certain.
A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion, VFW and Army. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery South. Friends may call noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
