Phyllis D. Hadler, 73 of Crawfordsville, formerly of Effingham, IL passed away Sunday at Franciscan Health Lafayette.

She was born October 23, 1949, in Salem, IL to Lawrence and Hazel Irene (Sands) Metcalf.

Phyllis worked at World Color/Crossroads Press in Effingham, retiring after 25 years. She then worked as a driver for US Express trucking. She attended Browns Valley Church.

She is survived by her children Rod (Katie) Levitt, Keith (Kasie) Levitt, and Candi Lush; her siblings Linda (Terry) Wright, Merle (Paula) Metcalf, and Bruce Metcalf. She also has 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Marshall A. Metcalf, and niece Marsha Richards Klopp.

A celebration of life will be held at 11 am Saturday, February 4 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home to assist the family with expenses.
