On Wednesday, August 31st, 2016 lovingly surrounded by family and friends, Ralph J Miller, 64, passed peacefully from this world and entered the Kingdom of Heaven to be with our Lord and Savior.
Ralph was born November 27, 1951 to Donald Lewis Miller and Pauline Ruth (Thomas) Miller who precede him in death. He graduated from Coal Creek Central High School in 1970. Ralph married his high school sweetheart and love of his life Jan Ridge July 3rd, 1971. She survives.
Ralph was blessed with two wonderful children, Sarah (Eric) Worrell, Jamestown, and Brian (Julie) Miller, Fishers. His greatest blessings were his six grandchildren, Hannah Long, Jackson Long, Aidan Miller, Dylan Miller, Spencer Worrell, and Alexander Worrell. The kids loved playing with their papaw and just hanging out with him. Ralph lived his life for his children and grandchildren. He was always quick to show people their picture or tell stories about them.
He also leaves behind 3 brothers, Lewis (Nancy) Miller, Texas, Donald (Rita) Miller of Crawfordsville, Moses (RaeAnn) Miller of Crawfordsville, and a sister Carol VanMeter, Texas. Also mourning his death are his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Judy and Terry Wilson of Crawfordsville, and several nieces and nephews.
Ralph had worked at Inland Container in Crawfordsville for 30+ years, but for the last nine years he was employed with Packaging Corporation of American, Winter Haven, Florida. Ralph was a fun loving, kind, and generous man. He never met a stranger and quickly became friends with all that came into contact with him. He genuinely meant it when he said he loved his job and the people with whom he worked.
One of Ralph's favorite past times was the love of riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle with Jan. They would venture out on several road trips, sometimes not even knowing where they were going, just riding. They have so many adventures that brought them so much joy. Ralph loved going on vacation and was so satisfied with Jan just telling them where they were headed. He always said "I make too many decisions at work. You just tell me where we are going". Ralph and Jan had a love like no other. They enjoyed the same things, they love their family, and their marriage just worked. Ralph loved to camp and he used to hunt on the family farm. He liked sitting at the pond at his daughter's house fishing with the kids. He loved life. He brought smiles to everyone and he will be deeply missed.
