Ray Risner, 86 of Crawfordsville passed away Wednesday January 24 in Punta Gorda, FL.
He was born September 26, 1931 to Harden & Miranda (Brewer) Risner.
He is survived by his wife, Maryrose, Children Donna (Bob) Frantz, Kim Ritchie, Tony Risner, Pat (Karen) Risner, Michelle Risner, Eric (Amanda) Bullerdick and Christine (Jerome) Horsley. Also survived by 18 Grandchildren and 19 Great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harden and Miranda (Brewer) Risner, Sisters Emma Chrisman and Sena Hays. Brothers Lee, Harden Jr., Chet, Bill and Jerry Risner as well as his son Michael and an infant grandson.
Ray was a 1949 graduate of Wingate High School. He was a past Master of the Alamo Masonic Lodge #144 and Order of Eastern Star in Crawfordsville.
Ray began his career with the Crawfordsville Police Department in 1958 and retired in 1981. Ray started B & R Fire Protection in 1968 and it continues today.
Ray loved God, his family and his country. He enjoyed his life and the people he spent time with to the fullest. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Friends may visit with the family Friday February 2 from 3:00pm to 7:30pm with Masonic Rites immediately following. Funeral Services will be Saturday, February 3 at 11:00am with burial to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery South.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 N. Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 or Christ Lutheran Church.
