Rex Clinton Phillips, 74, of Crawfordsville, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021, surrounded by his loving family and people who treasured him.

Rex was born July 23, 1946, in Crawfordsville, IN to Virgil and Catherine Manion Phillips.

Rex was retired from RR Donnelly and enjoyed fishing, going to yard sales, trap shooting, cruising in his T-bucket, and working in his garage. He also loved air boating in Florida. He was a strong patriarch of his family, a good friend to all, a man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was a good father, a loving grandfather, and great-grandfather to many. A man who always puts others before himself. He is loved and will be missed by many.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Catherine Phillips, and a nephew William Phillips.

Rex is survived by his loving wife Donna Phillips and canine companion Baxter. ; siblings Roger (Alice) Phillips, Carolyn (Burl) Grayson, Danny Phillips and Dennis (Kathy) Phillips; Children, Kimberli (David) Ranard, Kelly (Jamie) Phillips and Korey (Andrea) Phillips; Grandchildren, Shelbie Phillips, Bailey (Neil) Hudson, Shea (Jeremy) Twitty, Brennan (Shelby) Ranard, Myiia Philips and Zayden Phillips; 13 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and other beloved friends, relatives, and extended family.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, June 11 at Oak Hill Cemetery North with Pastor John Dunaway officiating.
