Richard Dale Hampton of Crawfordsville, died 2:10 a.m. Friday at Hickory Creek.
Hampton was a driver for National Homes.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Whitesville Christian Church.
He was born Sept. 18, 1926, in Darlington, to Ernest and Dorothy Smith Hampton. He married Mary Alice Andrews Oct. 11, 1952. She survives.
Also surviving are sons Dale (Dawn), of Crawfordsville, Carl (Jill), of Crawfordsville, Dick (Susan), of Crawfordsville, and Mark of Crawfordsville; daughter Pamela Eskew Perry, of Crawfordsville; sisters Rosie Wynn, of Florida, Myrt Foughty, of Huntington, Barb Keys, of South Carolina, and Marilyn Johnson, of South Carolina; nine grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by sisters Helen Hahn and Shirley Cornett Tucker; and brothers Mike, Sam, Ralph and Fredrick.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Whitacre officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Grant Avenue. Friends may call 2-6pm Sunday.
