Richard L. Vannice, 95 of Crawfordsville passed away Friday February 15, 2018 at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville.

He was born August 30, 1923 in Crawfordsville to Howard & Dorothy Finely Vannice.  Dick was a 1942 graduate of Linden High School. He served during WWII in the Army Air Corps.  He was married to Barbara Jo Delano, she preceded him in death February 11, 1989.

Dick retired from RR Donnelly in 1986 after 40 years. He was a longtime member of the First Christian Church. He was an avid gardener and fisherman and a Founder of the Crawfordsville Farmers Market. He also enjoyed camping and traveling.

He is survived by his children Michael (Elizabeth) Vannice of Crawfordsville, Charles Vannice of Portland, OR; Cathy Vannice of Bloomington, IN; and David Vannice of Crawfordsville. He also has a brother Donald (Joy) Vannice and sister Nancy Jane (Ron) Hurley surviving as well as 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his sister Alice Mae (Harold) Prasser, brothers Bill (Virginia) Vannice, Jim (Mary) Vannice, and Ed Vannice.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00am, at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Darla Goodrich officiating. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery North. Visitation will be from 5-8 Tuesday at the funeral home.
