Robert G. Halstead, 85 went to be with the Lord April 29, 2014 at ST. Elizabeth Hospital Crawfordsville.

He was born in Indianapolis to Charles H. and Elizabeth (Fivecoats) Halstead on Feb 11, 1929

Bob served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of Rock Point Church for 16 years. Bob worked at Allison General Motors Maywood Plant 5 for 37 years. He also worked at Random House part time during his retirement years.

Bob married Wilma (Jean) Smith on March 23, 1951, she survives. Also surviving are his son Timothy (Kay) Halstead; daughter Kathy (William) Redmond; and Sister Charlene Need. He has 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and a sister.

Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Terry Thompson officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown.  Visitation will be from 11-1 on Saturday at the funeral home.
