Robert D. Millbern, 87, of Crawfordsville, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday at Hickory Creek Nursing Home.
He had worked as a salesman for Westinghouse, Peninsula Concrete, and was former Manager of Crawfordsville Ready Mix. He was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, Shriners, American Legion, and Elks Lodge.
A graduate of Shortridge High School in Indianapolis, he served in the US Navy during WWII as a Pharmacists Mate 1st class.
He married Eleanor "Peggy" Wilhite on July 26, 1945, she survives. He is also survived by daughter Kris (Richard) Galvin of Thorntown; son Robert (Stephanie) Millbern of Mahamet, IL; daughter Gretchen (Tom) Dimock of Connecticut; and son Mark Millbern of Crawfordsville. Also surviving are sisters Pam (Bill) Wampler & Betty (Jim) Jarvis.
Services will be held 10:30am Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Kleffman officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery North.
