Robert "Bob" Vernon Miller died Friday at St.Vincent Hospital,
Indianapolis.
Mr. Miller worked for the Crawfordsville Ice and Storage
Company, Producers Dairy and retired
from California Pellet Mill. After retirement
he spent several years as a Walmart
employee.
He was a member of the American
Legion Post 72, a life-member of the Veterans
of Foreign Wars Post 1431, a life member
Golden Eagle of the Eagles Arie 1005.
He was born April 2, 1921, at Crawfordsville,
to Vernon Eugene and Mable
Lucille (Apple) Miller. He married Elizabeth
Mae McCoy on Oct. 26, 1940. She died March
20, 2003.
Survivors include: daughters, Patricia A. Perry of New
Ross, Madaline K. Mount and Roberta Wright, both of Indianapolis;
son Robert Vernon Miller Jr. of Danville; brother
Ronald Rex Miller; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren;
five great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sons-in-law Robert D. Perry
died in January 2011 and Ronald Mount on Sept. 26,
1985; daughter-in-law Janet Louise (Bell) Miller on Nov. 1,
2004; and brothers James Edward, Theron Max and Harold
Loren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m.Wednesday at
Hunt & Son Funeral Home, 107 N. Grant Ave., with Pastor
Rodger Ward Jr. officiating. Burial will be at Mace Cemetery.
Arie rites will be performed with the family in private prior to
services. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at the
funeral home.
