Robert L. Surber Jr., 75 of Marshall, passed away Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital Indianapolis.

He was born January 24, 1944, in Crawfordsville to Robert L. & Mary Wood Surber. He graduated from Crawfordsville High School and served in the US Army in Germany.  Bob retired from RR Donnelly in 2006 after 40 years of service. He was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church and was an active volunteer at the Animal Welfare League. He also enjoyed hiking and kayaking.

Bob is survived by his son Jason (Lis) Surber of Crawfordsville; Grandsons Will and Drew Glancy; and a sister Teresa Jungles. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 2 sisters Margaret Cunningham and Ann Graham.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Thursday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 12-2 Thursday. Interment will follow in Freedom Cemetery.
