Roberta "Sue" Shahan, 82, of Darlington, IN, went to her
home in heaven on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, while at a
Lafayette nursing home following a lengthy illness.
Born on Dec. 21, 1928, in Lebanon, IN, to Oliver and
Caroline Stewart Furman, Sue lived there until her first
marriage on Aug. 17, 1947, to Robert W. Morris. Her loving
husband of 29 years Edward "Butch" Shahan preceded her
in death in 2008. She is survived by children Kathy (Dennis)
Wagner of Minnesota, Marcia (Jim) Mixon of New Mexico,
Rick (Tanya) Morris of New Palestine, IN, Mike (Janet) Morris
of Lebanon, IN, and Cindy (David) Demoret, Michele
(Dennis) Perry, and Mark R. Morris, all of Crawfordsville.
Sue was an avid bowler, winning numerous awards and
was a Bowler's Hall of Fame inductee. She retired from JC
Penney's (Crawfordsville, IN) in 1989 after 20 years of service.
Everyone would look for the "white-haired lady" working
in the men's department. Sue also enjoyed sharing her
Christmas goodies with family and friends.
Also preceding her in death: daughter, Lisa Morris; stepgranddaughter,
Mona Burt; grandson, Nicholas Perry; and
granddaughter, Cara Lynne Morris.
Many grandchildren and step-grandchildren will miss her:
Ben Wagner; James Mixon; Kathy Douglas and Cindy Mixon;
Justin Morris; Nathan and Ariel Demoret; Joe and Jennifer
Sexton; Brooke Phelps and Kaitlin Smith; and Kayla Morris.
Her great-grandchildren will not have the chance to be
loved and spoiled by Sue.

Services will be held Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, at Eastside
Baptist Church. Calling will be 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
with the service immediately following with Pastor Steve
Whicker officiating.
Even though Sue had a passion for flowers, the family
would appreciate monetary donations to Eastside Baptist
Church in her memory in lieu of flowers.
