Obituary
Ruby Carolyn Bowman, 77, Crawfordsville, died 1:22 p.m. Wednesday at St. Clare Medical Center.
Mrs. Bowman was a homemaker and assisted in several family businesses.
She was a member of the Elks Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary and a Binky Patrol volunteer.
She was a 1947 graduate of Linden High School.
She was born Dec. 16, 1929 at Crawfordsville to Russell and Susie (Fulford) Franklin. She married Emmett Bowman. He survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Tom, Florida; and Jeffrey (Buffy), Indianapolis; two daughters, Brenda (David) Lovold; and Cheryl (Jeff) Bowman-Cohee, all of Crawfordsville; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Franklin; and a sister, Ruthanna Young.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Wren and James Ranard officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery South. Visitation hours will be 9-11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boys & Girls Club, 1001 Whitlock Ave., or Binky Patrol, 1206 N. Lake Vista Dr.
