Russell Catterson Jr., 57, Bloomingdale and formerly of Crawfordsville, died at 11:15am on July 24, 2006, at his residence after a battle with lung cancer.

He worked at R.R. Donnelley. He also worked at Coast to Coast. He was a 1967 graduate of Crawfordsville High School.

He was born January 7, 1949, at Clinton, Indiana, to Norma Jean (Smith) and Russell Catterson Sr. He married Linda Perry on July 3, 1969. They divorced in 1985. He later married Rita Jones on May 6, 2000, she survives.

Also surviving ar three daughters, Jodi (David) Shireman, Crawfordsville; Heather (Thomas) Perkins, Crawfordsville; and Shawn Catterson, Crawfordsville; and his step children Jennifer Jones, Crawfordsville; Revecca Jones and Benjamin Jones of Bloomingdale: three grandsons, Zachary Shireman, Cale Shireman, and Matthew Perkins, all of Crawfordsville; and step grandchildren Kelly Perkins, St. Louis, MO; and Kyle Perkins, Melbourne, FL.

He is also survived by his step father Carrol Cronk; Two brothers, Gerald (Marlene) and Charles (Debbie) Catterston; Two sisters, Doris (Rex) Allen, and Lindy Cronk: Step brother, Jim Cronk and Step sister, Susie Cornett all of Crawfordsville. Step brother David Cronk of Marshall as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 9:00am Wednesday July 26 at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Perry and Brother Don Perry officiating. Friends may call 2-6pm Tuesday. Burial will be in the Lusk Cemetery.
