Sandy Paxton, 74, of Crawfordsville, passed away Sunday, August 24, at Wellbrooke of Crawfordsville.

She was born  November 27, 1950, in Crawfordsville to Eston & Velma Newnum Crowder.

Sandy had worked at Sommer Metalcraft, North Montgomery Schools, Ben Hur Nursing Home, and Heritage Products.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Sandy married Darrell Paxton on February 2, 1967; he preceded her in death on April 2, 2006.

She is survived by her sons; Larry (Stephanie) Paxton, Tom (Lora) Paxton, and Jim (Ellen) Paxton. She has 5 grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Clara Norman, and a Companion, Charles Craven.

She was preceded in death by her siblings: Betty Schneider, Joanne Brunner, Galena Groetsch, Margaret Martz, Rex Crowder, Max Crowder, and Wayne Crowder.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, August 29, at Oak Hill Cemetery North with Pastor Tony Raley officiating.
