Obituary

Sara Nicole Schavietello March, 42, passed away Sept. 17, 2024, in her home.

She was born May 1, 1982, at Crawfordsville, to Richard Schavietello and Jeri (Bost) Schavietello. Sara married Charles "Brad" Hummel on April 20, 2004, they later divorced. Sara then married Greg Anthony March on Oct. 23, 2015.

Sara graduated from Crawfordsville High School in 2000. Sara found her niche in the food service industry beginning with her employment at Applebees, eventually moving into their management program. Later in life, after the birth of her only child, Lily, Sara continued her career at Crawfordsville Country Club where she remained until her health forced her to retire from the industry that she loved so deeply. Sara felt a special bond to everyone she met in food service, from the staff members to the guests, and especially her "regulars."

Sara felt that her greatest accomplishment was her daughter, Lily, who she reluctantly placed with family that could better provide for her. Through Sara's selfless act, she insured that Lily would have every opportunity for future success in life.

Sara is survived by husband Greg March; parents, Rick (Debbie) Schavietello and Jeri

(Schavietello) Overman; mother-in-law Cindy March; beloved daughter Lily Hummel; sister Samantha (Joshua) Kendrick; and step-brothers, Kaile (Mary) Thomas and Blaine (Emily) Thomas. She will be missed by her nephews, Nathan Kendrick, Bennett Thomas, Brecken Thomas, Booker Thomas; niece Addie Kendrick; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Sara will also be missed by her faithful best friend, Stella.

There's a hole in our hearts that can't be filled. Go with peace and love, Sara.
