Sharon Rose Larew

Sharon Rose Larew, 82, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026, at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville.

She was born on October 2, 1943, in Crawfordsville to Carl & Emma Wilkinson Earl. Sharon worked at JCPenney’s for several years, then at Servies Insurance. She was a member of Rock Point Church and had also attended New Hope Christian Church. Sharon was a big Purdue Basketball fan, loved flowers, and loved having lunch with her special friends.

Sharon married Ron Larew on March 15, 2023; he survives. She is also survived by her children, Jim (Heidi) Switzer, Pam (Gary Swank) Switzer, and Mike (Kathy) Switzer; grandchildren, Samantha (Bryt) Mitchell, Megan (Roberto) Switzer, Justin (Ellen) Switzer, and Eli (Camila) Switzer; and one great-grandchild on the way. Her beloved dog Buddy and several nieces and nephews are also surviving. Stepchildren Lesley, David, Caren, Kevin, Brenda, Barbara, and Marcus.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred Switzer, her husband Joe Archer, Her Brother Dick Earl, and her sister Yolanda Delks.

A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery North on Saturday, May 9, at 1:00 pm, with Jeff Hoenshell, Steve Bray, and Bruce Jones officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rock Point Church or The Animal Welfare League.
