Shelbie Leigh (Phillips) Underwood, age 31, of Crawfordsville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021. She died unexpectedly at her home in Kentucky. Shelbie was born on February 26, 1990, in Crawfordsville, IN to Kelly and Jamie Phillips.

Shelbie was a graduate from Crawfordsville High School in Crawfordsville, Indiana with the class of 2008. Shelbie was a full-time student at Indiana Wesleyan University and was working towards her degree in early childhood development. Shelbie enjoyed singing karaoke, spending her time with family, gardening, cooking and food prepping. Shelbie treasured being a mother and embraced every moment with her three beautiful children. Shelbie was a very bubbly, lively and extraordinary woman and just enjoyed life. The hole left by her absence will be impossible to fill. Shelbie will be missed by many!

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Nancy Martin, grandfather, Rex Phillips. Shelbie is survived by her three children, Arya Underwood, Freija Underwood and Bjorn Underwood; parents; Kelly and Jamie Phillips; sibling; Shea (Jeremy) Twitty; Grandmother Donna Phillips, Grandparents John and Betty Martin; Aunts and Uncles Kim ((Dave) Ranard, Korey (Andrea) Phillips, Jill (Flip) Knowling; a host of nieces, nephews and other beloved friends and relatives; and beloved extended family.

The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Hunt & Son Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 2 pm with visitation from 12-2pm at Hunts & Sons Funeral Home.
