Sherri L. McElwee Smith, 52, of Crawfordsville died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at IU Health, Lafayette. She had been a homemaker. She was born May 27, 1962, at Crawfordsville, to William and Lou (Melvin) McElwee. She married Jerry Smith. He survives. Additional survivors include: her mother, Lou (Jesse) Smith of Lebanon; Grandmother Christine Melvin; stepsons, Seth Smith of Crawfordsville and Jerryd Smith of Lebanon; sisters, Kay Flaurr and Evelyn Rogers, both of Crawfordsville, Leigh McElwee of Memphis, Tenn., and Sondra Estelle of Cumberland Lake, Tenn.; and four grandchildren. Her father is deceased and her grandfather Kenneth Melvin.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home, with Pastor Nathan Miller officiating. Burial will be at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Friends may call noon to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home
