Sue Patton

Mellany “Sue” Patton, age 75, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on July 25, 1950, and lived a life defined by devotion, kindness, and unwavering care for those around her.

Sue was united in marriage to the love of her life, Larry D. Patton, on August 30, 1968. Together they built a strong and loving partnership that lasted until Larry’s passing in 2025. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love, shared laughter, and steadfast support.

Above all else, Sue cherished her family. She was a proud and devoted mother to her three children: Missi Patton; Nate Patton and his wife, Maranda Patton; and Marcy Boillot and her husband, Ken Boillot. She poured her heart into raising her children, instilling in them values of love, resilience, and compassion.

Sue’s legacy continues through her nine beloved grandchildren: Mellany Bull; Kayla Pruitt and her husband, Jeremiah Pruitt; Sydnee Dickerson and her husband, Derek Dickerson; Ethan Patton; Kaden Patton; Nora Boillot; Natalie Boillot; Ella Patton; and Aidan Boillot. She was a constant source of encouragement, joy, and wisdom in each of their lives.

She was also blessed with eight great-grandchildren: Layne, Keelyn, Hudson, Emmett, Fletcher, Daxtyn, Milo, and Sailor, each of whom brought her endless pride and happiness.

Sue will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and a loyal friend. She had a warm and generous spirit, always putting others before herself and offering a listening ear, a comforting word, or a helping hand. Her presence brought light and love into every room she entered.

Though she will be deeply missed, Sue’s legacy of love lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Services

A visitation will be held at Hunt & Son Funeral Home on Saturday, June 27 from 12:00 pm- 2:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm, with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery North. Family and friends are invited to attend and celebrate Sue’s life and legacy.
