Terry Lee Shelton

Terry Lee Shelton, 84, passed away August 8, 2026 at his residence.

He was born August 13, 1942 in Crawfordsville to Leslie and Harriett (Haskett) Shelton. He had worked as a pressman at R. R. Donnelly’s and served six years in the United States Marine Corp.

He was the youngest of four children; Larry Shelton and Robert Shelton (both deceased), Carolyn Brewer (Ivan Brewer-deceased).

He is survived by a daughter, Teresa Carey-Billingsley, step-daughters; Cheryl (Ritchie) Jones, Martoma (Kris) Wilson and preceded in death step-son, Charles William Knee, Jr. In addition, he has several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He didn’t know a stranger and loved the outdoors. He liked hunting for arrowheads and crinoids. He also liked to get out and visit old friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kevin and Tammy Bonebrake for all they have done for him.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday at Freedom Cemetery with Pastor Terry Gobin officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion Post #72 and the United States Marine corp.
