Thomas N. Hunt, 75, of Crawfordsville passed away Sunday at home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born September 22, 1943 in Crawfordsville to Robert F. & Cora Nichols Hunt. Tom was a 1961 graduate of Crawfordsville High School.  He proudly served in the US Navy as an Air Traffic Controller from 1962-1966. He then graduated from Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1967 and joined his father at Hunt & Son Funeral Home where he served as a 3 ^rd generation funeral director until his retirement in 2016.

He was very active in the community where he was a member of the Elks Lodge, Eagles Lodge, Montgomery County Shriners, Masonic Lodge #50, and US Navy Memorial. He had served on the Crawfordsville Park and Rec board for 20+ years, Board of Directors of USA Life One Insurance, Oak Hill Cemetery Board, and the Boys and Girls Club Board. Tom loved to play golf with his golf buddies, ride his motorcycle, and travel. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Tom married Laura Whitecotton on October 7, 1967, she preceded him in death in January of 2012.  He then married R. Deborah Gwin on June 1, 2013, she survives.  He is also survived by his sons David (Karin) Hunt, Rob (Jim Heinzman) Hunt, and Stephen Lutterloh. Step grandson, Aaron Heinzman. He has two grandchildren Holly (Ian) Line and Kyle (Victoria) Hunt as well as two great grandchildren, Warren Thomas Line and Ellie Anne Line. His sister Roberta Berry is also surviving.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Wednesday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating.  Visitation will be from 4-7pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery North with military rites at the graveside.
